Saturday we hiked the AT from Yellow Creek Gap to Fontana Dam. It was only a little bit under 8 miles, but I haven’t hiked at all in a few months. The lower part of my calf was incredibly sore. A good bit of this hike was actually downhill and that must have worked muscles that don’t normally get worked. I got out of bed limping.
