Kiln Shed Ready

I spent the last week digging a trench to get power to the shed, mounting the sub panel and installing heat shielding in the kiln shed in the evenings after work. Today I was able to finish the last bit, including installing the kiln vent.

Hey Mike,
Found your blog from sawdust & dirt blog. I noticed that you've only been at it a while and felt a certain kinship i guess, especially seeing as how the pic below of your old kiln setup looks like my current kiln setup. I've been at it for 4 years but i did do clay in college in the late 70's. I've only recently set up my own blog and have been clicking around trying to see what's going on. I guess you certainly do have the clay bug though. Are you firing electric exclusively? Anyway, if there's anything I could commiserate with you on about being relatively new to the scene, let me know.

Jim,
I do fire electric only. I ran into my first broken element yesterday, more on that later. Still learning every day!

Looks like the perfect 'dog house' for my hubby.
Do you take 'orders' to build for others???
