Spraying Glaze
We spray all of our pots and we did a bunch today. Here you can see our setup. We use baker's racks to store pots inside. We take a shelves out of the rack and put them near our spraying station, which is the first picture. After it's sprayed it's moved to the left where the bottom is cleaned and it is put on another shelf that will eventually be back in the baker's rack. The second picture shows a piece of plywood with marine grade carpet on it. We clean the bottoms by rubbing it on the carpet, which gets all the glaze off. If we didn't do that the pot would fuse to the shelf.
The final picture shows the banding wheel. One little push will keep a pot turning for a good while. The screws keep the pot up enough that the glaze buildup from spraying doesn't mess the pot up.
